SD Card

Enter File Manager>All files(Phone storage)>find the files you want to transfer to SD card>touch Edit at the upper right corner>select the files>touch Cut or Copy>go to SD card>touch Paste to paste the files in SD card.

Warmly Tips: In order to make sure the system runs stably, some files cannot be moved to SD card.

For Funtouch OS 3.0 version and higher version:

1. Enter Camera, then touch Settings icon on the top-right corner;

2. Find Location option and select SD card. Then the pictures taken will be saved on SD card automatically.

For Funtouch OS 2.6 and lower version:

1. Enter Camera, and then touch 3 dots icon on the top-right corner;

2. Slide left the shortcuts on the bottom until you find Storage location;

3. Touch it, select SD card. Then the pictures taken will be saved on SD card automatically.

Moreover, you can go to File Manager> (Category)>Pictures, click Edit and choose All, then you can cut and paste the pictures into SD card.

Due to the limitation of the system, our current phones cannot set SD card as the default storage location. But don`t be upset, you can go to Vivo Browser & Camera to set SD card as the default storage location and move documents & media files such as music, photos, videos to your SD card manually in File Manager.

Considering the stability of the system, our current phones do not support to set SD card as the internal storage. But don`t be upset, you can go to Vivo Browser & Camera to set SD card as the default storage location and move documents & media files such as music, photos, videos to your SD card manually in File Manager.

For Vivo Browser, you can enter Vivo Browser>touch icon in the bottom>tap on the Settings icon>Download Settings, select SD card.

For Chrome, we regret to say that, currently, the Default path setting is not available on Chrome. We recommend you use Browser to download the file.

The screenshots and screen recordings are saved on phone storage by default and it cannot be changed. When the system space is not sufficient, these files will be saved in SD card automatically.

If you want to save them in SD card, you can go to File Manager to move them to SD card manually.

Warmly Tips: Some phones do not support SD card.

Vivo phones support most of SD cards in markets such as SanDisk, Kingston, Transcend. However, we still suggest you check if the SD card can be recognized on our phones before the purchase.

Generally, if the SD card is damaged, it cannot be recognized by our phones. We suggest you insert your SD card into another device to check if there is the same issue. If no, follow these steps for a try:

1. Remove your SD card, then reinstall it;

2. Format your SD card and try again (It will delete all data on your SD card);

3. Access to Settings>More settings>Backup & Reset>Restore(Reset) all settings. Don`t worry, no data or media will be deleted;

4. Change an SD card to check if it can be recognized. If yes, considering the compatibility, we suggest you change an SD card.

If above measures are not effective, please seek help from our service center.

Please don`t worry, here are some helpful methods for you:

1. Reinstall your SD card and reboot your phone;

2. Insert your SD card into other phones to check if there is the same issue. If yes, we suggest you change an SD card;

3. Format your SD card and try again (It will delete all data on your SD card, please back up the important data before performing this step);

4. Access to Settings>More settings>Backup & Reset>Restore(Reset) all settings. Don`t worry, no data or media will be deleted;

5. Go to Settings>System update to update your phone to the latest version;

6. Change an SD card to check if it works.

If above measures are not effective, please seek help from our service center.

If the SD card is damaged, this issue will happen frequently. We suggest you insert your SD card into another device and observe a period of time to check if there is the same issue. If no, perform below steps for a try:

3. Access to Settings>More settings>Backup & Reset>Restore(Reset) all settings. Don`t worry, no data or media will be deleted;

Go to Settings>(More settings>)RAM and storage space(Storage)>SD card, then choose Format SD card to format your SD card.
