Network settings

 

Currently, vivo X21, Y85, Y81 support Dual 4G/VoLTE. And V7, V7+ and V9 will be updated to support Dual 4G/VoLTE in the near future.

Don’t worry, here are two ways to change the network mode:

1. You can go to Settings>(Dual cards and )Mobile network>Network Mode to change the network mode;

2. You can input *#*#2288#*#* on the phone dial pad to access the Network mode interface. Then you can change the network mode.

Accordion ContenWe change the design of network icon display. When there is 4G network, only 4G icon can display. But don`t be upset, it does not have any affect on the signal and network speed.t

Go to Settings>(Dual cards and )Mobile network>Network Mode, then you can set the network mode you prefer.

1. Go to Settings>(Dual cards and) Mobile network>Data connect permission, then you can disallow the apps to use data network.

2. Enter i Manager>Data monitor>Network management, then you can disallow the apps to use data network.
Warmly Tips: Limited by Android system, some built-in apps such as Google apps cannot be restricted to use the data network.

For Funtouch OS 9.0 and higher version, go to Settings>(Dual SIM cards and )Mobile network>Data monitor), then you can restrict the apps to use data in the background.

For the below Funtouch OS 9.0 version, go to Settings>(Dual SIM cards and )Mobile network, scroll down, and then you will find Data-saving mode.

Warmly Tips: It is not available in Funtouch OS 3.0 and lower version. But don`t be upset, there are some tips for you to save data.

You can go to i Manager>Data monitor>Data usage details to your data usage details. For the more accurate result, we suggest you consult your carrier.

If you have set the Data package in i Manager>Data monitor, you can find the available network data in i Manager>Data monitor. However, considering the more accurate result, we suggest you consult your carrier about the available network data of your SIM card.

1. Enter i Manager>Data monitor>Network management, disallow the apps such as video apps which can consume much data to use data network;

2. Go to Play Store>touch Menu button at the upper left corner>Settings>Auto-update apps, select Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only;

3. Open Data saver mode while using browser such as Chrome. Go to Chrome>touch 3 dots icon at the upper right corner>Settings>Data saver, turn it on;

4. For Funtouch OS 3.1 and higher version, you can turn on Data-saving mode to restrict the apps to use data in the background.

For Funtouch OS 3.0 and higher version:

Go to i Manager>Data Monitor>touch the Settings icon at the upper right corner>click Daily data usage notification and Monthly data usage notification>Custom>set the data package. When data consumption reaches a certain threshold, you will receive an alert.

For Funtouch OS 2.6 and lower version:

Go to i Manager>Data monitor>touch Settings at the upper right corner>select Package settings, then you can set the data package.

Here are two methods for you:

1. You can go to Settings>(Dual cards and )Mobile network>Data network to turn it off;

2. You can also slide upward from the bottom of the screen to bring up Control Center. Then deselect the Data network icon to turn it off.

Data Monitor cannot be turned off currently.

Limited by Android system, some built-in apps such as Google apps cannot be restricted to use the data network. Hope for your understanding.

For Funtouch OS 3.0 and higher version, Go to i Manager>Data Monitor>touch the Settings icon at the upper right corner>click Daily data usage notification and Monthly data usage notification>Custom>set the data package. When data consumption reaches a certain threshold, you will receive an alert.

For below Funtouch OS 3.0 version, go to i Manager>Data monitor>touch Settings iconat the upper right corner, then you can set Package settings and turn on Remaining data remind.
