MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The vivo V70 sold over 7,000 units nationwide in its first three days from March 14 to 16, 2026, marking a strong debut and outpacing its predecessor’s more than 5,000-unit performance by 25%.
This surge highlights robust demand from early adopters and loyal vivo users eager to upgrade, signaling a confident start for the brand’s latest release.
Why Filipinos are upgrading to V70
For many Filipinos, upgrading a smartphone is more than a trend, it’s a practical choice that enhances daily routines, work, and personal interests.
Lorlyn Romano, a small business owner from Sta. Rosa, Laguna, upgraded from the V60 to the V70 because of its better 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera, equipped with AI features.
“Maganda na yung camera ng V60, pero mas pinaganda at pinalinaw pa ni V70 with AI Magic Weather. Mahilig kasi ako sa photography… importante sa akin yung camera, performance, battery life, at storage.”
She added that pre-ordering helped her secure the exact color she wanted. “Na-experience ko na maubusan ng color dati with V60, kaya nag pre-order na ako ngayon para sigurado ang Golden Hour colorway ko,” she shared.
For Charice Vargas, a studio administrator, the V70 was her first upgrade in four years.
“Excited na ako mag-upgrade after four years with my vivo V27. Bonus na lang yung freebies kasi I’m eyeing sa free buds, pero na-surprise ako kasi may kasama pang soundbar.”
She also highlighted the phone’s performance in daily use. “Camera talaga. Ang linaw ng video kahit naka-zoom up to 20x. Tapos ang tagal ng battery, perfect for everyday use,” she said.
For Andrew Jay J. Tomaquin from Cebu City, the V70 proved to be a worthwhile investment.
Originally planning to purchase the V60, he decided to wait for the newer release and found the upgrade justified. “Nung lumabas yung V70, doon ko na ginamit yung ipon ko. Yung zoom at 4K 60fps sobrang ganda lalo na sa videos, ” he shared.
Having used vivo Y series devices over the years, reliability played a key role in his decision. He said, “Alam kong matibay talaga pag vivo, kaya para sa akin investment na rin itong V70 ko.”
With its strong 3-day performance and positive consumer feedback, the vivo V70 sets the tone for a promising year ahead showing that smartphones can be both innovative and genuinely relevant to daily life.
