Anne Curtis explores Shanghai through vivo X300 Ultra’s lens

vivo X300 Ultra’s 200-megapixel ZEISS telephoto camera capturing Shanghai’s landmark
SHANGHAI, CHINA Celebrity and vivo ambassador Anne Curtis traded the studio for the streets of Shanghai as she explored two of the city’s most recognizable destinations through the lens of the vivo X300 Ultra, joining celebrated fashion photographer BJ Pascual for the smartphone brand’s latest global campaign shoot.
Set against the futuristic North Bund skyline and the preserved stone-gate lanes of Shikumen in Huangpu District, the shoot highlighted Shanghai’s blend of modern architecture and cultural heritage while allowing Curtis to put vivo’s flagship camera smartphone to the test in real-world settings.
One of the first stops was the Silver Egg at the North Bund, where Curtis experimented with vivo X300 Ultra’s 200-megapixel 85mm ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera to photograph the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from afar.
Reviewing the image, she pointed out how the smartphone was able to tightly frame the landmark, showcasing its colorful circular rooftop. “This is how tight you can get. That’s crazy. Insane,” Curtis said after capturing the shot.
The production later moved to Shikumen, a historic neighborhood known for its traditional stone-gate architecture and pedestrian streets. Surrounded by preserved heritage buildings, Curtis reflected on how the location offered more than just a backdrop for the campaign.
“I really love where we’re shooting right now, which is considered like a heritage promenade, so I get to see a lot of heritage architecture, not only just see it but shoot alongside it,” she said.
Photographed by BJ, the campaign combined fashion, travel, and street photography across two distinctly different settings, showcasing how the city’s contrasting landscapes can be captured using a single device.
“Shanghai offers an incredible visual contrast between contemporary architecture and historic neighborhoods, making it an ideal setting to demonstrate what the vivo X300 Ultra is capable of in the hands of creators,” said vivo Philippines Brand Marketing Director Liu Lu. “The campaign reflects how today’s smartphone photography can adapt to different environments while preserving detail, depth, and perspective.”
The vivo X300 Ultra is vivo’s most advanced camera smartphone to date. Developed with a ZEISS imaging system, it features a 200-megapixel 85mm ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera, a 200-megapixel 35mm ZEISS Documentary Camera, and a 50-megapixel 14mm ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera. The smartphone is designed to deliver professional-quality images across multiple focal lengths, supporting everything from portraits and street photography to landscapes and documentary-style photography.
